This was an attempt to downsize my previous 2.1 channel HiFi amp solution, which took up 6U of rack space.
The idea was to build a single box solution combining 2.1 channels of LM3886 'Gainclone' amplification with an active crossover, all powered by a single power supply. I ended up keeping the crossover separate (hence the large empty space), but I still went from 4U of amps down to 'only' 2U.
The transformer was reused from my previous TDA8920 sub amp, while the four 8200uF Nichicon 'Gold Tune' filter capacitors came from my previous Gainclone build.
This project was my first time ordering PCBs from JLCPCB; the LM3886 PCBs used are an open source design from the diyAudio community.
